He was born on May 25, 1803 in Boston, Massachusetts,United States.He was one of the most influential literary figures of 19th-century.His writings were considered valuable documents of American literature, religion and optimistic thought.He was a founder of the transcendental movement and published essays on "Self-Reliance" and "American Scholar." He delivered more than 1500 public lectures across the United States.
